Kern River fishing trips are a memorable occasion for our campground guests year round. The Kern River, located 45-minutes north of Bakersfield, is home to both natural born AND hatchery-stocked (at our Resort) Rainbow Trout, as well as the less spotted Golden Trout
The Kern River offers rafting experiences for all skill levels, ranging from first time rafters floating on their favorite blow-up animal characters to expert level rapids, which answer the calls of professional rafters worldwide.
KRS @ Camp James RV Campground on the Kern River lies just 10-minutes from Lake Isabella which is known for it’s huge quantities of massive rainbow trout, bass, and catfish, so get out there and drown some worms!
